Buried...

Sorry for our absence over the last week or so... rest assured we have not been taking it easy, rather, working like trojans to finish all our abigail*ryan goodies ready for launch.

This last week we have been buried under a pile of marking out, cutting {and more cutting - 33 metres of linen, anyone?}, hemming and sewing - but we are slowly, slowly getting there and building a pile of stock we are hugely proud of as we go.

This morning, our tea-towels arrived and we are over the moon. We will share those soon!

In between our textile and homewares adventures, we have also been working steadily on new jewellery - both Ryan, and I ...and will soon be unveiling a whole host of new jewellery designs...

But now, to bed. One thing we are not doing quite enough of right now is sleeping! ;)

More soon,

Just a little teaser...

We are delighted to be able to share this little teaser of two of our new tea-towel designs - we are pretty over the top excited about these babies...so couldn't wait to show them and hopefully hear some feedback {fawning praise only though, please! ;)}...

We will be selling these individually {there are 4 designs - each printed in two colourways, so there will be 8 in total to choose from} - but we really designed them, and chose our colours the way we did, as we want to also offer sets of two...

There will be a Bloom set {as above, in the fuschia and olive colourway!} - and a Seed set, and we will be able to offer these at a slightly reduced price, perfect for gifting this Christmas! Both will be printed on a beautiful cream unbleached 100% cotton...

It was fantastic fun to choose colours that would work together, and enhance each other, in a pairing and we cannot wait to receive the real deal very soon... it may push me over the edge though, so I will need a strapping chap nearby lest I faint with joy!!

Ryan!.... Ryan??

;)

More soon! And hope you heart these as much as we do!!!

Florence + the Machine - You've Got the Love...

For you, Mister B... xo

Luxury on the inside, too...

This morning, 73kg worth of pure feather cushion inserts arrived into our little flat... the reality of their cumulative size and weight hitting a little harder than a good whack with one of said feather pillows would have... the cloudy little devils! ;)

However, we are totally delighted... it's fantastic to see our size choices in the flesh, to be able to envisage and be that little bit closer to launch!

We decided to go for total luxury here - on the outside AND the inside... we figured there was no point in pouring our hearts and souls into designing and printing our own exclusive fabrics for cushions, {backed with stunning, pure, locally produced, Irish linen} only to fill them with foam!

No Sirree... we went for pure Duck Feather!

To give support, to snuggle into, to plump and squish and do all the things a *luxury* cushion should do...

Hurrah!

{off to clear some cupboard space now so we can access the telly later!} ;)

At last...

We received the final delivery of our textile yardage last week!

It's beautiful, and so colourful all stacked together: ready and waiting... just like us, itching to get stuck in to cutting and sewing and creating our luxury scatter cushions...

Another big milestone was completed today - our artwork for tea-towels is finally finished and ready to be printed... they all look amazing and we cannot wait to share our designs with you!

More sharing to come soon, of course :)

Goodness me, I love all the goodness is the Lemon Tree shop... so much so, I think I could easily have one of everything! ;)

I am especially in love with the Japanese masking tape {swoon!}, and these fantastic stamps.

Our Irish Linen adventure...

My goodness today was a good day!

After a huge amount of searching, deliberating and hard work, Ryan and I finally tracked down an amazing supplier for our linen - which we are using to back our beautiful scatter cushions, table runners and eventually, place mats and more...

We wanted to source fabric that was locally produced in Northern Ireland, and a true Irish Linen, as supporting local business, and in the process, getting to use the finest quality of products is hugely important to us!

In addition to finding the perfect product, we were also beyond delighted to be given such fantastic attention by the lovely staff at the company - and enjoyed hours of looking through rolls and rolls of stunning fabric, flicking through sample books and fondling fabric of the most lovely quality and handle that makes it's way all over the world and to some very famous design houses to boot...

Here are some snaps of our adventure!
I am so excited already just thinking about the next one ;)

We are now one step closer, and truly, our excitement just continues to build!!

The next stage?... cutting our patterns... but we also have some more fabric shots to share and our packaging development too... so stay tuned!

Here are some links of interest all about Irish Linen and the standards needed to gain the famous label!
