Preparations...

We've been pretty busy for the last few days, assembling, wrapping and labelling up products and packaging ahead of Christmas and for a pop up shop we are taking part in (info for TANK Gallery Pop-Ups, right here on facebook!) and a charity Craft Fair we're doing tomorrow evening at Clandyboye Estate courtyard (7-9pm for anyone local!)... we have had new labels printed, which we are delighted with - do you like them?!

The last of our new batch of tea-towels arrived this morning, and we have begun assembling our new boxed gift sets. There is just a little sneak above, but I must say, they're very gorgeous and we can't wait to share them and get them up online! I'm rather excited to think some people might be opening these on xmas morning ;)

Back soon!

Opening night at Pop-Up TANK Gallery...

Hi everyone - stopping in quickly tonight to share some photos from the opening of the pop-up shop in Armagh which we are part of!

Here is the stand we put up in our little corner of the gallery space...we were really happy with our wee display (and our newly finished lavender bags - they smelt amazing!)...

Click HERE to see the full slideshow of everyone else's work from the show. Info on each maker is available beneath each photo, along with websites (where I can find them etc) - so you can all get a lovely feel for how much fab Art and Craft is in the gallery, even if you can't make it there in person...

If you are local, though, I would thoroughly recommend you make the trip... it's open from now until Christmas Eve, from 11am-9pm... further info can be found on the TANK facebook page HERE!

Congrats to Rachel and Stephen on all their hard work pulling the whole event together - it looks fantastic!!

New, New, New!!

Some brand new abigail*ryan fabric arrived with us today and we wanted to share right away, even though, frankly, it's pitch dark and not the right kind of light to be showing it off... but we just couldn't wait!

On top is our new Dahlia fabric... it's going to be cushions in three colour-ways (grey with pinks, yellows and duck-egg blues)... and the artwork I designed for our forthcoming Lavender bags in a variety of shades and designs...

We will be starting to sew tomorrow, I should think! I hope you all love it as much as we do!!

**WORD UP!!! Some of these goodies will be on display at a pop-up shop we are taking part in in Armagh... you can read a little more about the gallery space, TANK, on the facebook page, right here. If you are in Ireland (North or South, we are very near the border), or know someone who is, please do spread the word... the gallery pop-up is going to be running for six weeks from Friday, right up until Christmas eve and features 20 of Northern Ireland's best Craft and Design talent, all under one roof!

Of course - they will be debuting online very soon, too.

Gosh, well, it's been a very long day - so I think a big cup of tea and an evening of sitting down is in order... seeing the fruits of our last few weeks labours today, it's really no wonder we're beat!!

More soon,

abigail*ryan Pop-Up Shop...

Last weekend, we packed up the studio and headed for Castle Ward, a beautiful National Trust property where the annual fair, Craft Fest, is held... we attended last year as stall holders with our jewellery, remember?

This year, we were hired to create a pop-up shop inside one of the Castles historical rooms - and we were lucky enough to land the Housekeepers Parlour! Complete with an amazing original range, large windows, wood panelling, china cabinets, old singer sewing machines and many beautiful antique chairs, it was a fantastic space to style and dress and I think we did a great job!

It was lovely seeing our textiles in a thoroughly historical setting, and everyone who passed through (including the staff) loved seeing our new take on the space and how our fabrics and homewares lifted the room and made it feel lived in again.

Here are a few images from the weekend! Enjoy... :)

Many thanks to the Staff at Castle Ward for having us, and to Jan at CDC for thinking of us for the job! Thanks too, to all the hundreds of people who came through the room and admired our wares!

p.s. Our anemone tea-towel (available in Olive and Granny Smith) was designed last year after attending Craft Fest - I photographed the blooming Japanese Sea Anemone's in the amazing walled Garden at Castle Ward and drew them once home... nice how things come full circle!!
