abigail*ryan now at Wallpaper Direct!

We're delighted to announce that Wallpaper Direct are now selling our debut wallpaper collection.

We're thrilled to add them to our stockist list, as they have the most fabulous curation of wallpaper from all the greats right over to smaller independent designers, like us... and they pride themselves on delivering the newest, freshest wallpaper collections to their customers! There really is something for everybody at wallpaper direct, so we are loving seeing our papers in the mix there, too.

Above are some of the room sets wallpaper driest created to show off our prints! Aren't they lovely? I am especially in LOVE with that incredible fireplace... such a gorgeous room.

Welcome Home Glasgow - Store Tour...

I was so happy when back in Glasgow to have a chance to get up to Sauchiehall Street and see our friend Mhari's newly re-opened shop, Welcome Home, inside the lovely foyer of the CCA!

Full of some of the most beautiful and unique art and design finds you will see in Glasgow - it was very hard to resist bringing a lot of it home with us. Good thing we didn't have any luggage allowance (or budget to speak of!)... I am pretty sure I could have filled a few carrier bags full of loot if things had been different.

Mhari, and Welcome Home, were previously housed on Keith Street in Partick, but after running a pop-up shop in the CCA last Christmas, they couldn't let her go (smart cookies!) and offered her the chance to stay permanently, the new space being revamped in a more bespoke fashion a few months ago. This was the first time I has seen the shop in person, and it didn't disappoint! The perfect mix of quirk and slick (in style, and content!), it's a pleasure to walk around and explore the displays Mhari curates on the plinths and in the cabinets, making it feel like you are discovering something new every time you turn around.

We're delighted to say some of our tea-towels and lavender bags are also stocked in-store, along with lovely things from Fun Makes Good, Finch and Fouracre, Imogen Luddy (I bought one of her badge brooch cards!) and Mhari's sisters line, Forgotten Stitches, amongst many others!

Hope all who are in Glasgow or pass through will pay Welcome Home a visit! The cafe at the CCA is great, too ;) We had some drinks and snacks there with Mhari while we had a long over-due catch up and then we went and had some FAB Japanese food along the road a'la Mhari's recommendation (thanks!!)... a lovely way to end our day :)

abigail*ryan at Liberty...

We excitedly mentioned a few months ago that we had success at the Liberty Best of British Open Call and that our cushions would soon be in store, and online, with Liberty. Well, it's all happened and they are there!

... we were delighted to spot our cushions on the shelves in the home department when they shared a picture of the launch of Timorous Beasties new range for the shop on facebook. If you look past the lovelies in front, you can JUST spy our lovely cushions stacked up on the shelves behind ;)

In addition, we're in the Liberty Magazine this month - which can you can pick up in store, or browse online, right here.

New Stockist... Unique Boutique Company...

We're delighted to announce another stockist of abigail*ryan tea towels...

The lovely Cornwall based, Unique Boutique Company, sister site to the amazing Unique Home Stays has a fantastic selection of our textiles now live on their site! We LOVE the photographs they have taken of our tea towels and how they styled them... I'm always a sucker for a nice stack of linens!

... some other beautiful items on the site include stunning ready-assembled hampers like this Green Fingers themed bundle, and their gorgeous Pure Wool Blankets. There are so many beautiful items on this site that would make amazing gifts, or even just elevate a romantic picnic to utter perfection! Well worth bookmarking and remembering for that special occasion! ;)

On a little side note, we are currently out of both colours of our Rhododendron tea-towels (bottom two shots), but Unique Boutique have BOTH in stock, so head on over to their site if you are keen to pick some up!

New Stockist - SMUG...

Here at abigail*ryan HQ, we're always delighted when we get a chance to work with a new stockist- and we are absolutely delighted to be adding the fabulous concept store, SMUG, to our list!

Based in Camden Passage in London's Islington - SMUG is run by the lovely Lizzie Evans (pictured above) who has an eye for all things stylish, and has transformed a regular shopfront in to a light and airy destination shop space full of Vintage finds and beautiful goods created by the young design talent Lizzie loves to scout... the shops stock varies from original 50's Formica furniture, and paisley eiderdowns (I spied those lovelies in the middle shot!) to exclusively commissioned items from designers such as Donna Wilson and Matt Pugh...

...and now, abigail*ryan tea-towels! We hope our brightly coloured kitchen textiles will make a great addition to this gorgeous shop. We can't wait to pay it a visit ourselves...

Trade Shows, Awards and Best of British...oh my!

Hi everyone - it's been too long, but we're back with some super news, and a whole host of happenings to share!

Where to start??

Well, first of all -you all knew we were preparing for our first Trade Show at Pulse London... well, it went really brilliantly, we had such a good time and were so pleased with our stand! To top everything off, and to our extreme shock, we won an award!

'Best New Launchpad Exhibitors at Pulse 2011' to be exact, and judged by the lovely Michelle Alger (of Britains Next Big Thing, fame), Buying Manager for Home at Liberty... as you can see by the huge smiles on our faces, we were not expecting it at all! Thankfully, I had been be-decked with paper eye-lashes from Paperself for the occassion...not that I knew there was GOING to be an occasion... handy, that! ;)

Ahead of going to Pulse, we had received some wonderful news after attending Liberty's Best of British Open Call back in April...when we had hotfooted it down to London for a few days to pitch our products to the buying team at the world famous store (and my personal Mecca!) - and a whole 3 minutes later - we just had to wait and see...

Delightfully, we were successful, and received an order for Cushions. It is certainly a career highlight for us, especially for me, as it has always been a dream of mine to have my designs sold in Liberty - so we are over to moon to be adding them as an official stockist. You can see some images of the Liberty Open Call on their facebook page... you might even spot me, looking utterly hideous in a photo, with our cushions in front, looking MUCH lovelier, thankfully... ;)

SO - we came home from Pulse to start work on our Liberty order, which was no small undertaking, but thankfully, after sewing our socks off (Ryan even roped me in!) they were all ready to head off in to the wide world at the end of last week...

That, really, is what we have been up to... so you'll hopefully forgive our silence! We have lots more to share shortly, including some new stockists added to our list so we will be profiling them... and other bits and bobs, too.

Article Dublin...

You may remember "Article" from our stockists page, and during our little jaunt down to Dublin to see Adele, we were lucky enough to see the shop for ourselves.

We want our customers to have the best buying experience they can, so we like to be pretty selective when it comes to choosing stockists. Sadly, we can't always visit our stockists in person, though, so we jumped at the chance to call in when we could.

In the stunning Powerscourt Townhouse Centre in the centre of Dublin's beautiful south side, "Article" is a little gem of a shop full of quirky gorgeousness. So irresistible were the wares, in fact, that we couldn't resist making a couple of purchases ourselves! The leaf embossed porcelain plate in the last photograph above is now destined for our newly painted hallway, and our kitchen is scented with the delicious aroma of one of "Article's" own range of scented candles- in the exotically woody and spiced 'Walnut and Ginger' scent. It was also a particular pleasure to meet the shops creator and curator, John- it's always wonderful to be able to put a face and voice to an email!

We're so glad we took the opportunity when we could, and "Article" will definitely be one of our first ports of call whenever we find ourselves in Ireland's capital.

We are delighted to announce that our full range of abigail*ryan tea-towels are now winging their way to the States to be in lovely company amongst all the other goodies you can choose from!

If we ever make it to LA in person we will certainly be popping in to sample some of the gorgeous treats on offer - but, in the meantime, it's really VERY lovely to know our linens will be making the trip for us, and finding their way to lots of new homes...

Hi everyone - we're back from our holiday break and ready to face 2011, full of new ideas and good things for abigail*ryan... Happy New Year to all!

First off, we're OVER THE TOP happy to announce that our abigail*ryan tea-towels will shortly be arriving with Terrain - a brand new Stockist for us!

Terrain has long been a source of inspirational beauty for me, when longingly searching through the loveliness to be had online. I have yet to visit in person, but if it's anything like it's sister company, Anthropologie, I'll be in heaven!...

We will be in excellent company, as I pretty much adore everything they stock - check out their garden, and home section... wow, right?!
