This EXACT time last year...

...I had just finished the drawings that would become our Anemone and Rhododendron patterns. It really only seems like a couple of months ago, not a whole YEAR!!!...

So funny that at this exact time in 2010 I am drawing blooms again - this time for MORE teatowels.

Watch out... coming soon...

Dahlia :: Hydrangea :: Agapanthus

We're so excited to get to send them to print soon... but before then... more drawing to do tomorrow!! I'll share sneaks soon, 'kay?

Corners of our home...

After a few days away in Glasgow, we're back in Belfast, and... we're SO glad to be home :)

It's the first time we've been away since we moved in in May, and it's so good to be back and see all our progress, and how nice the place is looking. It's such a good feeling.

We thought we would share a few corners from our place... including our new clock from Julia Smith (isn't he awesome? ;)) We have photos from a studio visit with Julia to share soon, too!...

Over and out for now :)

Homes and Interiors...

Us designer types (*giggle*) need to keep an eye on things out there in the big, bad world, so we've been pretty much glued to the coverage of this years London Fashion Week.

One collection, in particular, has completely blown us away, that of, relatively new designer, Mary Kantrantzou.

While reminiscent of the work McQueen was so celebrated for in, sadly, his last few collections, here, digital printing has been taken to a whole new level of innovation and ingenuity.

The central conceit and influences and much more artfully described in this article on Style.com, but, even without the accompanying commentary, the clothes themselves are stunning and probably speak more than loudly enough.

Enjoy :)

Bargainiferous...

Oh my - I just managed to bag us the bargain of the year!

We landed ourselves the gorgeous Orla Kiely Blossom bedlinen massively reduced from £108.00 for a duvet and two pillow cases to £35.00 ALL IN because the boxes had lost their labels... the lovely lady in the shop even gave us extra money off because they only had super-king size and we will have to take the duvet in a little for our kingsize bed...

I am over the moon! Just IMAGINE how nice it's going to look in our recently decorated bedroom... ;)

Yay!

Abigail@abigail*ryan

p.s. Now, just so you know - we're only buying Orla Kiely bedding because we haven't been able to get our own abigail*ryan stuff made just yet... ahem... just so you know ;)))

Chattering Cerithidae*

*It's a kind of shell, bumhead!

(ok, so I totally googled it, just so I could have a rhyming title...does that make me a bad person?!)

Anyway, this is, probably, the most awesome thing you will ever spend 3 mins of your life doing (yes...even including that...).

It ain't perfect, but it's pretty close ;)

Birds of a Threader...

Abigail and I both love the work of illustrator Charley Harper (so much that i'm sure we'll do a much longer post on him one day!), so we were both delighted when we saw these wonderful, hand-painted, needlepoint canvases on The Purl Bee, the rather marvellous blog of craft boutique Purl Soho.

Each would make a marvelous wall hanging or cushion, and would be a fabulous way of having your very own piece of Harper's stunning work in your home.

We're thinking very, very carefully about which one we may have no choice but to invest in..!

Cushions that make Chairs Happy...

We made a little animation - our first abigail*ryan motion picture! ;)

Just a bit of fun to celebrate all the hard work on the stacks of new products and designs we'll have in the shop very, very soon.

While working, we wondered, and pondered, what would make our well deserved, relaxing sit down after all this hard work even better?

The answer was obvious...

We hope you enjoy this as much as we did making it...
