I'm sure you've all heard of the pretty delicious alternative to syrup and sugar agave nectar (more info here), but here at abigail*ryan towers, we believe we've found something even better!Produced in the UK with no added nasties, Sweet Freedom might just be our new favourite thing! It can be used in all sorts of things as a sugar, or syrup, alternative (the darker, "rich" version, pictured on the right, a better alternative to syrup with it's stronger flavour), but we've just enjoyed it at it's simplest...drizzled over hot wholegrain toast that has been topped with sliced banana and whole earth peanut butter- healthy and pretty fantastically delicious!
You may be wondering who the stunning new face in the latest M&S campaign is...it's singer VV Brown, who released one of my favourite songs of last year- "Shark in the Water".
The collection itself seems pretty interesting, too...some very striking pieces and key trends (digital prints, maxi-dresses, ikat inspired patterns and the ubiquitous military), but, then, you can say that about *every* high-street collection, can't you? So i'm not exactly saying anything profound about the world of fashion!

I'm loving this new track from Kate Nash...her first album was such a grower and I ended up completely loving it- one of my fall back albums when I want some music on but can't decide what!
At first I was slightly worried that it was just more of the same (not necessarily a bad thing, but it could make the album a disappointment), but the more I listened the more I loved it...such a sunny, upbeat, catchy song- dripping with 60's pastiche in the best possible way!
Mister Bell gave me this beautiful white plaster 'YOU & ME' as a present this past Christmas, and it was perhaps my most favourite gift of the day, if not ever.
If I had not been in company, I might have given in to my total instinct to cry like a girl because I love it {and him } so. very. much! Thankfully, I kept my cool {just!} and just made do with grinning like an eejit instead...
Now we have finished decorating our bedroom - we are looking for the perfect space to hang it! We're really looking forward to finally getting it up.
Just stopping in very quickly this evening to share these fantastic GIGANTIC wooden scissors from Marks and Spencer... I think they would look amazing on the wall, or in a studio, and certainly think they would be very tricky residing in the home of such an amazing sewer as Mister Bell!
In fact, I definitely think they should hang above his sewing station when we finish our workshop... ;)
Off now to eat the yummy dinner he has cooked for me! Lucky me :)
We've been working really hard this past week decorating our bedroom and building furniture to maximise storage {because, boy, do we have STUFF!}...and it's finally finished!
We are delighted with this amazing wallpaper from homebase, which is a metallic chartreuse green and taupe {and looks so much better than in the picture!} - and have painted the other walls a super chalky matt taupe/grey which is really quite like plaster {I love it!} - and are now just thinking about the fun part: accessorising! ;)
I got a beautiful pink orchid the other day, and loved the colour against the paint and wallpaper, so am now hankering after these beautiful pink Spindle lamps from Habitat. Mister Bell says I can "dream on" as they are silly-expensive, so I think I shall...
Also day-dreaming about snuggling up under one of these beautiful hand-woven in Ireland blankets from Avoca! Mmm...
