Our Wedding (at long last)...

It's been over six months since we got married in September (28.09.12 to be precise), and I can honestly say that the first half of our first year of marriage has absolutely flown by in a haze of busy, challenging, fun work and happiness! We're so in love... schmalzy, but true. I love calling Ryan 'my husband' and he loves calling me 'wife'! You don't quite realise just how awesome being married is, until you ARE... it's so special.

We are excited to be able to finally share some shots of our Wedding with you - as it's coverage, in Mollie Makes Handmade Wedding, hit the news-stands last week. We're in love with the spread in the magazine, so want to say a huge thank you to the team for featuring us, and the day we created, we had the best time.

Our Wedding was a thoroughly hand-made affair, and we made and designed almost all the details ourselves, as we were on such a shoe-string budget (and wouldn't have wanted it any other way, anyway!) so it felt unbelievably personal to us and really reflected what we wanted it to look and feel like. We had an amazing time, and hope our guests did too, so we hope you like seeing a little more of our day, even after all this time!

Anything else you would like to know, we pretty much made ourselves, so just ask if you would like more details! A huge thank you to all our vendors, above, who were so fantastic to work with and did such a beautiful job for us... and to our family and friends who helped make it such a special day. xo!

With love!

P.S. We hope you enjoy viewing these, but we would like to request that you do not blog these without prior written permission, and if you Pin the images, please be respectful and credit both us (abigail*ryan) and our photographer (Tarah Coonan Photography) - they are very personal to us, as you can imagine! Thank you so much.

abigail*ryan for Jo Malone London...

We are so proud and excited to announce our collaboration with Jo Malone London, and their Style Editor (and super stylist!) Charlotte Stockdale...

We were approached by the brand last year, and have been working feverishly on this project ever since. The fruits of all our labours landed exclusively in Selfridges London & Manchester Exchange, in a specially curated boutique called 'Charlotte's Corner', on Monday.

When Charlotte Stockdale, Jo Malone™ Style Editor revealed the concept for this project, giving a cool and very limited edition make-over to Red Roses, one of Jo Malone's most iconic fragrances, she said

“I wanted to bring a little jolt of fun to the iconic packaging. I love neon, especially when it's set against a neutral background. It’s fashion graffiti; playful, cool and alive.”

We love that she chose to work with us, as such a young brand, and have Abigail create a special red roses illustration, enhancing it digitally and screen printing it in classic Jo Malone black and white, with striking neon pink cord hand couched on to each item... we thought you would enjoy a little glimpse in to the making process, which was a mammoth job, but we are thrilled with the results. It was a real labour of love.

We produced a Scented Red Roses Scatter Cushion, a Scented Red Roses Sachet and a Cologne Pouch for 30ml bottles of Jo Malone Cologne. You can purchase them online, here, as well as in Jo Malone Selfridges.

We fly to London tomorrow to visit the corner, so we will report back from that.

A huge thank you to the wonderful Jo Malone London team, and Charlotte, from both of us at abigail*ryan - this has been a dream project, and we're so happy with the results and the fantastically positive reaction they're receiving. Charlotte's limited Edition Drip Bottle has already sold out (there were only 300!) and the cushion has already made it in to gorgeous magazines such as Elle Decoration and Livingetc, to name a few...

We hope you like this as much as we do!
NEON FOREVER!

Belfast Le Creuset...

We're big Le Creuset fans... and have more than a little obsession with their gorgeous colourful enamel ware. You know we love colour, and food, so colour you can cook in? Well, that's just right up our street!

The Belfast Le Creuset store, run by the lovely Kirsty, is holding a Wedding Event weekend and had a few brands and suppliers from around Belfast display their wares... Jenny Bristow, local Irish TV cooking personality was in store creating delicious food in the kitchen, and abigail*ryan tea-towels were alongside the rainbow pans, matching perfectly. It's as if our colours were planned to match... I promise they weren't, but what a happy coincidence! Don't they look gorgeous together? So! Get on down this weekend and pop in to the store... Such lovely goodness to ogle, as always.

Colour...

Picking Pantone numbers for our wallpapers - so hard, so many amazing colour combinations to be had! We have two out of four done, and they're looking incredible, if I do say so myself...

Been pretty sick since Friday, so it's been nice looking at something so cheerful today.

Hope everyone has had a lovely w/end, and Happy St. Patrick's Day! ;)

Wallpaper fun...

We've been busy working on lots of things, and one of those projects has been preparing artwork and designs for our new line of wallpaper, which should debut around May!

This morning we received some sample proofs from our printers, which showed all sorts of fascinating bits of the process - full scale, half scale to show the working repeat, and trim options to make it easier for our lovely customers to hang. We are SO excited.

We have the most dreamy colour palettes to apply to these, so we can't wait to see them in full colour. We will launch them at Pulse this May.

We have been able to work on this new line with support from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, so it's been a really fun project.

More sneak peeks from the workshop, soon. We are designing new textile products to go alongside these new prints - rose and cosmos - so there will be a LOT to share soon. You can see why we've been a bit quiet!
