Terrace House Softies...

Hi everyone...

Finally, a little bit of nice light today - which sent me snap happy with the camera!

Our Terrace House Softies, which are LIMITED EDITION... only one of each, and only five in total, are now online. I am quite in love with these, and they were so much fun for us to make, they will be a little hard to part with! In addition to all the lovely materials we used, I love our sycamore scatter cotton on the back... we use a different cotton for each edition we make...

Now you just need to decide which one you like best... pink door, orange door, blue door, yellow door or green door... TOO HARD, right? ;)

You can find them all here, in the shop!

We will be sharing a recipe for an amazing vegan chocolate and coconut gateaux Ryan made yesterday later today or tomorrow... it is disappearing rapidly in our kitchen, so at least we have photos of it to share before it's gone!

More soon,

For Japan...

Hi everyone,

Some of you may have seen in our last post that we have decided to donate 50% of the retail price from each sale of our Hyndragea tea-towel (in duck egg) to the Red Cross Japan Tsunami Appeal...

Hydrangea flowers symbolise 'Heartfelt Emotions', which is why, out of all of our designs, we felt this most appropriate - as I think this is how most of the world is feeling right now as we watch events in Japan unfold.

This is today's pile of orders, all parcelled up for posting.

Please help in any way you can. Every donation helps and we would like to raise as much as we can with the power of flowers!

Please pass it on.

Thank you. So much.

So, so, so...

So BUSY!
We're doing some exciting freelance work for a super secret client who is launching a new range - brand identity and graphic design is all done after lots of hard work and now I am doing my favourite part... photography and styling!

...these are some outtakes from after today's shoot :)

So TIRED!
We're super busy and juggling so many balls just now with work! Ryan is feeling a bit better (thank you so much for all your kind notes) but still not doing cartwheels just yet...

So SAD!
The disaster in Japan has been weighing heavily on our minds. We have decided to donate 50% of all proceeds from the sale of our Hyndrangea tea-towel in duck-egg...
Hyndrangea flowers symbolise 'Heartfelt Emotions' and I think that pretty much sums up how people are feeling right now. Funds raised will be going to the British Red Cross Japan Tsunami Fund...

Thank you so much for your continued support!

Springing Back!

Things are getting back to normal here at chez a*r after Ryan's stay in hospital. He's home and feeling much better every day. Thank you for all your kind messages while he was unwell...

Spring is rearing it's pretty head in Belfast, with some sunshine, daffodils poking through and Hyacinths blooming indoors... it's all rather lovely. Perfect walking weather for the pup!

We are whipping ourselves in to shape, starting off with a year planner (from Crispin Finn), which arrived this morning. Our year is already shaping up to be VERY busy, and it will be so helpful to be able to block it all off and know where we're at at a glance!

We are excited to be able to share that we will be exhibiting at Pulse London this June... the UK's only Summer Trade show, held at Earls Court. It's a trade only show, so we are very much looking forward to talking to buyers and meeting lots of lovely potential new stockists! :)

We also have a new website in the works, and are getting close to launching our new Heirloom range. Honest to goodness... I am completely in love with the floor cushions we've been working on. I don't know how I will be able to let each one off beauty go!!

BUSY!

Hope Spring is showing face with you. Wrap up warm 'till then!!

p.s. as I am about to hit publish, rain has just started to lash the window... Spring is laughing at me! ;))

AWOL...

Hello everyone - a quick explanation for our absence since last week...

Ryan is really rather unwell and is in Hospital at the moment, I am spending most of my days running around (missing him like mad) and heading up for visiting hours to spend some time with him.

Hopefully we will be back in this space very soon and Ryan will be home and on the road to getting better. Any and all get well soon thoughts would be MOST appreciated.

Abigail x

p.s. feel free to order as normal from the shop, I am just not online much for blogging etc! ;)

I finally finished sewing up the new series of house-softies we've been working on...

Each one is uniquely hand embroidered, and each little series has a different one of our cottons on the back! I'll be putting these on-line very soon :)

In other news, I have been obsessed with our new Pinterest account... it is SO addictive, and there is so much lovely stuff out there! Reminds me of the excitement I felt, inspiration wise, back when I started blogging in 2006 (Looong time ago!) and discovered so many amazing blogs, it opened a new world to me.

Things have changed a lot in blogging since then, and I think Pinterest somewhat captures the original spirit of sharing and inspiring where blogging has now become something else entirely in a lot of cases!

Such fun to while away a few hours and keep easy tabs on all the lovely things you stumble across online and then lose later! ;)

Happy Monday, all...

(Patch)Working...

As explanation for the little silence here on a*r blog, we've been working our little fingers to the bone on all sorts of fantastic projects recently!

One we're delighted to share with you today are the one off patch-worked floor cushions we are creating from Irish linen and our exclusive cottons! We're so excited about these, and I am loving the patterns and juxtapositions of bold colour Ryan is creating here - so dreamy.

Each floor cushion we create will be a unique one off piece, never to be created quite the same again... we can't wait to see what homes these will go to!

It's a great job to LITERALLY be creating the fabric of people's lives and homes ;))

More on these soon!
